The Melbourne Boston Sister Cities Association Inc (MBSCA) was founded in 1985 under the auspices of the City of Melbourne's sister city relationship with Boston. The Association is an independent incorporated community asscoiation and is the only formal sister city committee that is associated with the City of Melbourne's international relations program.
Boston and Melbourne as vibrant, knowledge cities, share a reputation for artistic and medical excellence. The Melbourne Boston Sister City Association enhances the reputation of both cities as centres of knowledge excellence by facilitating connections between organisations and people, exchanging ideas and best practices, organising and sponsoring events and funding exchange programs.
