Dr Fallon Cookis an emerging early career researcher in the Intergenerational Health group at the Murdoch Children’s Research Institute. Graduating in 2011 with a PhD from Swinburne University of Technology, she has developed and tested programs designed to help parents manage and cope with challenging infant behaviour. She has also facilitated the translation of her research findings in to improved primary care. Fallon’s recent research identified six components of infant regulation that can identify those at increased risk for mental health difficulties during childhood. With the help of collaborators in Boston, Fallon is developing a screening instrument to help clinicians identify these at risk infants.
